Respect yourself!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The “Kids who care” project starts with the youngest children: College employees visit schools in the surrounding villages of the Kruger Park. There they not only teach the children basic things about nature conservation and animals, but also how to respect themselves. Because caring is not possible without self-care! The children learn to value themselves in a playful way and to treat themselves with respect. The “care” in “Kids who care” stands for this self-care and care, which is promoted by the project through games and learning units. The aim is to promote “caring communities” that treat themselves and the environment with respect. <\/p>\n

Respect the others!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Learning processes do not only take place in the classroom. For example, the “Kids who care” project uses multidimensional learning strategies to teach children from the surrounding villages about nature and animal welfare. Through team games or a game of football, the children learn for themselves what fairness and respect mean. Or what is it actually like to walk like an elephant? Or to jump like a gazelle? However, the children are not only visited at school, they also get the chance to spend a weekend at college and observe the animals they have previously learned so much about on excursions. A real highlight! <\/p>\n

In the last two years, 225 children<\/strong> have been able to take part in this program<\/strong> through the Friends of African Wildlife. A total of 1578 children from nine schools were able to participate in the project during this time. Thank you for your support! <\/p>\n
