The first internship, made possible by generous donors, was successfully completed in 2026. Ronan Carvill is the first master’s student to complete an applied internship at Southern African Wildlife as part of our “Skills for Nature” project.
The 2025 summer event was a highlight! Over 38,000 francs were raised, which will go directly to the projects of the Southern African Wildlife College. Many thanks to everyone who attended and to those who donated. None of this would be possible without you!
Another great success We look back on our 2024 summer event with great joy and gratitude. For the sixth time, we were able to celebrate our event in glorious sunshine on the terrace of HAUTE in Zurich. The delicacies served and the service were outstanding. A success More than 39,000 francs were donated at this year's summer event - we are speechless and thank all Friends who took part and those who simply donated from the bottom of our hearts. None of this would be possible without you! We can look back on a perfect and unforgettable celebration! We were able to spend a special evening with dear friends on the terrace of the Haute in glorious sunshine. Theresa Sowry, CEO Southern African Wildlife College, captivated us with her stories about the great work in Africa and touched us deeply.
Respect yourself! The "Kids who care" project starts with the youngest children: College employees visit schools in the surrounding villages of the Kruger Park. There they not only teach the children basic things about nature conservation and animals, but also how to respect themselves. Because caring is not possible without self-care! The children learn to value themselves in a playful way and to treat themselves with respect. The "care" in "Kids who care" stands for this self-care and care, which is promoted by the project through games and learning units. The aim is to promote "caring communities" that treat themselves and the environment with respect. Respect the others!

Education is one of the highest goods. Unfortunately, many children around the world are excluded from this, which makes it very difficult or even impossible for them to enter working life later on - including in South Africa. Education is fundamental, especially with regard to nature and wildlife conservation. Children need to be made aware of their environment at an early age, as this is the only way they will learn to protect it and live in harmony with it.
